Eligibility

NBCCOC is committed to serving eligible New York State residents looking to advance themselves through academic preparation and career training. Applicants must meet minimum registration requirements in order to receive services.

Minimum Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older (17 through designated external programs)
  • United States citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee
  • Currently residing in New York State
  • Low to moderate-income earner

Documentation Requirements

  • At the time of registration, all applicants must submit:
    • Proof of Income
    • Proof of Permanent Residency or Citizenship, if not born in the United States
    • Proof of refugee or asylum status
    • High School diploma or GED (for vocational programs)
    • Completed TANF Eligibility form

      Download and complete the TANF Eligibility form

      Step 3

      Gather your documents, required documents are due after completion of your enrollment and before classes start

      Expect an email/phone call within 5 business days to:

      • Schedule a date and time to come in and complete your registration
      • Review of documents to bring with you
      • Provide directions and contact information
