My 2002 Accomplishments

This year I was able to accomplish some of my goals.

I went back to school in May for my GED and I was blessed with two great teachers, Mr. Krevisky and Mr. Chiapa, who are dedicated to their work.  They taught me everything I needed to know in order to pass the test.  By October I was ready to take the test.  In November I got my High School Equivalency Diploma.  That was one of the best days of my life!  All that hard work paid off.  I accomplished one of my goals.

Then after the GED class I went to a school, which I learned a little bit about computers.  I learned the basics of Word, Excel and I did a slideshow in PowerPoint.  It was a good experience.

Now I have been granted the opportunity to be in the computer class, which is my biggest goal.  Plus, I have been blessed with another dedicated teacher.

After completing this computer class I will be able to get my dream job and accomplish many more things to come.

Ms. Brooks has helped me out a lot and I thank her very much for all she has done.  Coming to NBCCOC was the best thing that ever happened to me.  This is the best school I ever attended.

Thank you to everyone at NBCCOC for being so dedicated to helping people like me!

Tips For The Holiday Shopper

Make a list – who are you buying gifts for this year?

Make a plan – Ask yourself, “How much money can I spend?”

Try bargain hunting – look at all the store sales circulars on Sunday for the items you want to buy.  Compare prices before shopping.

Be careful! Keep your money in your pants pocket not in a jacket pocket or purse.  Sad to say, but this holiday time of the year is pocket-picking time.  So watch your back.
